Old Time Memories, by Helen Pride
Pattern Name: Churn Dash.
Large Quilt 96 x 118
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted

I collected 1930's reproduction fabrics for 2 years-I love the colors and designs. Also, it reminds me of fabrics that my mother must have used in the 30's when she sewed. I made the Churn Dash blocks using all the colors and made this bedspread for my husband and I to enjoy in the summer months.

There's No Place Like Home, by Denise Roussel
Pattern Name: All Around the Town.
Wall Quilt 54 x 71.5

I love appliqué! Original design had blocks going together in a circular fashion, some designs were upside down(see picture). I re-designed it so blocks are facing the same way. Each of the houses has a number representing a street number I lived at. Embellishments were not part of pattern either.

Hand Pieced, Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted

This is a Quilt-As-You-Go Machine "Trapunto" Quilt. "Trapunto" is a "stuffed" looking technique. The ruffles were my idea and were quite a challenge! Actually, the entire quilt was quite a challenge considering I've been quilting less than 2 years. I especially like the blue against the white.
