My grandson was interested in a quilt made from Asian style fabrics. I really enjoyed making this quilt, even though the red borders were challenging. It was worth the effort and I am pleased with the outcome. I hand appliquéd the circles, machine pieced everything else, and it is machine quilted.
Shades of Autumn, by Evelyn Rossin
Original.
Small Quilt 9 x 12
Machine Appliquéd, Machine Quilted, Painted, Dyed sky fabric, snippets technique
Our bee decided on making trees for this years challenge. We needed to use three techniques and there were no size requirements. I painted/dyed the sky fabric in a Mickey Lawlor class years ago, appliquéd the tree and used the snippet technique for the leaves.
