Every year our Bee makes a quilt whose sale will buy batting for RSQ's benefit quilts. This year we used fabric from a departed member. We are keeping her love of fabric and quilting going. The pattern is Claudette by Villa Rosa Designs.

Grandma's Fans, by Sue Sharer
Small Quilt 45 x 45
Hand Pieced, Hand Appliquéd, Hand Quilted
This quilt was designed as part of a class project to use an antique quilt pattern and make it your own. I chose Grandmothers fans and added an appliquéd border. I hope to someday give this quilt to a grandchild.
Life's a Beach, by Chris Crouch for Jan Shaw
Small Quilt 40 x 23
Machine Appliquéd, Machine Quilted
"Life's a Beach" was motivated by my Bee's challenge to share beach fabric. Now that I am a California quilter, the beach is close at hand and a delightful inspiration.
Arcadia, by Missy Shay
Small Quilt 48 x 59
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted by Georgette Gagne
Wanted to use up some of my Asian fabrics and thought that this pattern would showcase them.
Barcodes, by Missy Shay
Pattern Name: from Broome Street Patterns.
Small Quilt 50 x 50
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted by Georgette Gagne of Black Wolf Studio
My sister bought a layer cake pack of 10" batik squares from Timeless Treasures's Tonga Treats collection. I helped her and liked the pattern so much I made several quilts like it from my stash. To further reduce my stash, I pieced the backs with the leftover material and made table runners from the left overs after the blocks are squared to 7 1/2".
Dr. Seuss's ABC's, by Missy Shay
Small Quilt 37 x 42
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted
Need a baby quilt? My friend needed one and I had none so I made a couple to have on hand. I love Dr. Seuss and this came together quickly and easily--though not soon enough for her needs!

Machine Appliquéd, Machine Quilted, Fused
Seaside Motif is my interpretation for the Sewatorium Sisters annual challenge. The theme of our challenge this year was "beach". Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted
Created through the Block of the Week hosted by National Quilters Circle online Jan/Feb 2018 -- nine weeks of blocks based on the constellation Pleiades, aka the Seven Sisters. As my first Block of the Week, the short commitment seemed manageable. I duplicated my favorite patterns to enlarge the quilt and chose different fabrics from my stash each week.

Original.
Small Quilt 19.5 x 19.5
Machine Pieced, Machine Appliquéd, Machine Quilted, Fused, Painted
This is my take on our Bee Challenge "Birds of a Feather". It is inspired by the vultures in the animated film "Jungle Book". Two vultures sitting on a branch. The first asks the other "What do you want to do?" The response is "I don't know. What do you want to do?"
I hand painted the background fabric using Mickey Lawler's technique.
