Windmills of the Sevens, by Mary D'Amico
Pattern Name: Lil' Twister .
Wall Quilt 18 x 42
Machine Pieced
The black, yellow and green fabric was the inspiration for my windmill table-topper quilt. I used the Lil' Twister pattern by CS Designs. I added my own green and yellow fabric from a fat quarter pack and my black and white button fabric for the borders and back. A fun challenge it was!
Beach Fantasy, by Rachel Davis
Pattern Name: Sea Glass.
Large Quilt 63 x 84
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted by Laurena McDermott
This pattern came from Keepsake Quilting. I collected fabrics that reminded me of the beaches I've enjoyed over the years.
Precisely Paul, by Rachel Davis
Pattern Name: Wonderland (from Duck Soup).
Wall Quilt 41 x 41
Hand Pieced, Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted by Cheryl Dennis
I began piecing this by hand in 2001, then put it aside and didn't return to it for 10 years. I finished it by machine and had Cheryl quilt it, not wanting it to sit for another 10 years! This will go to my brother Paul, an expert old building restorer who, like me, tends to work slowly.
Baby Freddie's Quilt, by Kendra Dowd
Original design.
Wall Quilt 44 x 44
Machine Pieced, Hand Quilted, Machine Quilted
This quilt will be given to my grand-niece Frieda ("Freddie"). Each of the 9 blocks was started with scraps generously given to me by my friend Billie. Those "wonky" center blocks were then squared off with the solid strips. I particularly enjoyed doing the "meandering" handquilting in the border.
Columbines, by Susan Dresley
Pattern Name: Columbine from Pieced Flowers by Ruth McDowell.
Wall Quilt 28 x 28
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted
The three patterns come from Ruth McDowell's Paper Piecing book. I have columbines in my garden. I love doing the patterns that I modify to suit my needs.
Fun with orange and yellow, by Susan Dresley
Pattern Name: King's Cross.
Wall Quilt 36 x 46
Machine Pieced, Hand Quilted
I decided to play with yellows and oranges.

Two Weeks in Provence (six months in the sewing room), by Susan Erdos
Wall Quilt 38 x 46
Machine Pieced, Hand Appliquéd, Hand Quilted, Machine Quilted
The iconic yellow-with-poppies fabric was purchased in Saturnin Les Avignon in France. It is a reminder of a beautiful, colorful place. Making the quilt also also allowed me to learn to make a celtic knot (center) and to practice new machine quilting techniques.
Asian Picket Fences, by Bebe Fallick
Pattern Name: Picket Fences.
Large Quilt 78 x 105
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted, Embellished with Chinese Charms Quilted by Judy Bachand, Neighborhood Quilts
This quilt is based on "Picket Fences" by John Q.Adams of North Carolina which appeared in the Aug/Sept 2012 issue of Quilters Newsletter. I changed the dimensions and fabric style as I attempted to reduce my stash of Asian fabrics. The embellishments were purchased in Beijing just prior to the 2008 Olympics.
From Another Planet, by Angie Fitzreiter
Pattern Name: One Block Wonder by Maxine Rosenthal, inspired by Bruce Seeds' Out of the Woods.
Large Quilt 96 x 96
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted also pieced by June Parfitt
I attended a class at Daley by the Yard taught by Rosemary Koch, and also heard about this pattern from my mother in law, Cris. This quilt will be a gift for my mom. The corner scrappy triangles are pieced by her late best friend, June, who's sewing machine I now own.
W is for watering can, by Jeanne Funk-Gedies
Wall Quilt 36 x 48
Machine Pieced, Hand Appliquéd, Machine Quilted, Fused
In going through my mother's attic, I found this photo. It made me smile and I thought it would be a nice quilt to make.

Pattern Name: adapted from "Grand Gerber" by Carol.
Wall Quilt 60 x 60
Hand Pieced, Hand Appliquéd, Hand Quilted, Hand Embroidered
I designed this quilt for my sister based on her wedding. She had a fall themed wedding with her bridesmaids wearing burgundy and carrying fall colored Gerber daisies, while she carried peach roses. The border lists the date, time, and location of her wedding and reception.
2014 Row by Row, by Jessica Gillis
Wall Quilt 40 x 52
Machine Pieced, Machine Appliquéd, Machine Quilted, Fused
These rows were provided through the "Row By Row" summer 2014 program with patterns from quilt shops in CA, MA and NH. Collecting them was fun and after realizing that I didn't want to have to wash this I had to arrange it into something I could hang, hence the two-sided result!
Lettuce Fields, by Jessica Gillis
Wall Quilt 27 x 19.5
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted
A challenge quilt in the Pajaro Valley Quilt Guild in Santa Cruz, CA for their 2013 show. This lettuce field at the end of the road where I lived in rural CA in the Monterey Bay area fit the "local landscape" theme . This area is known as the "salad bowl" of America for good reason!
Starry Night, by Clare Gordon
Large Quilt 77.5 x 89.75
Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted
Six types of pieced star blocks in gold are set on a field of midnight blue prints. The pattern is from McCall's Quilting magazine for June 2005 enlarged to queen size. Begun for my guest room in Arlington, life got complicated and it was completed for my current guest room in Concord.
