The pattern for this calls it a table runner but I made it for a wall. The curves will break up all the sharp corners in the room.

I saw a quilt with a similar design in a cafe in Vermont several years ago and thought it would be nice in blues. I rarely make quilts from a pattern, I just like the design process. This is my second quilt using these fabrics.

This quilt is a high school graduation gift for my daughter who requested a "Sunflower" quilt. I couldn't find any actual sunflower quilt patterns, so I adapted an interesting Mountainpeek Creations pattern with my own sunflower design.

I made this quilt as a 50th birthday present for myself. It took about 2 years,carrying a ziploc bag filled with circles just about everywhere so I could work on it in every spare moment. It was a bit of a challenge, but it all came together at the very last minute. Yo-yos are my addiction!

I made this quilt as a wedding present for my sister and her husband. My sister loves to decorate her home for all the holidays, especially for Christmas,and the yo-yos remind us of our grandmother, who made yo-yos and taught us both to sew.

These materials are used throughout Tahiti for clothing and furnishings. They are sold by the meter. The shells are a gift from a shopkeeper for my attempt to say "Mauru'ara rather than Merci or Thank you.

Graduation quilt for Carlo Cincotta, 2013 LHS.Pattern is modified Red Onion, Karla Alexander. The colors being so bold had me scratching my head at first. Eventually they began to speak to me. Then I had so much fun playing with the combinations and placement.

After more than 30 years away from quilting, I decided to make a wall hanging for my condo in Brewster on Cape Cod. This fabric, called "By the Sea", was designed by Helen Weinman, formerly of Heartbeat Quilts in Hyannis. My mother, who taught me to sew, encouraged me to show this quilt.

Having first learned hand piecing I decided to take a BOTM class at Quilters Way in W. Concord to learn how to machine piece. First the challenge was to decide on a setting and then borders big enough to have the quilt fit a queen size bed. The finished product is on my new 1834 Hallowell, Maine home.

Our bee challenge was portals which includes doors, gates, etc. In this quilt Newport Bay in Ireland is viewed through the gate of Burrishoole Abbey.

Each summer vacation a floatilla of kayaks, rowboats, sailfish, and swimmers take off for a 3/4 mile crossing of Keuka Lake (NY). We stash the boats and climb the gully in a rocky stream bed. The 50 foot waterfall at the top is cool. Reversing our course we return home refreshed by nature.

In 1983 I made this quilt for the Bicentennial celebration in Saxtons River,Vermont. In 2013 I had it machine-quilted. It shows the village's landmark, the church, which is now the Historical Museum. Pieced blocks represent things related to the village or Vermont. The quilt will soon go to the museum to live.

I am 11 years old, and this is my biggest quilt I have ever made. On the front of my quilt there is a window, and out the window there is a rainbow with gold sliding down into the pot of gold (on the back). On the other side there is an overflowing pot of gold.

We took the donation of leftover blocks from this year's raffle quilt, and designed and sewed together the quilt top, selected fabrics for the back, chose the pantograph for Laurena to quilt, and hand-sewed the binding. We are selling this to fund future group projects.
