She taught me to sew when I was ten. Priscilla loved to make origami cranes for her family and friends, so this pattern reminded me of her. |

The quilt was returned to me upon her death, at 90, in June. Each center picture is specific to her life history. I hoped they would occupy her mind, and that the feel of the cloth would be a tactile comfort. |

| Annisquam Light, by Jory Agate 1st Prize, Other Quilts. Machine Pieced, Machine Appliqued, Fused, Machine Quilted This was created for a colleague in honor of her ordination. The light house is located at her childhood beach. She often draws it, and I stole one of her drawings to create the piece. Throughout her accreditation process I informed her that she could not just pass her exams, she had to be "stellar!" She was, so I bestowed her with this stole to honor the occasion. |
