This quilt is a gift to my husband. It was
inspired when we hiked in the White Mountains on Columbus Day weekend
2000. It was a beautiful fall weekend, the woods were exploding with
color as the weather changed from sun to rain then snow and back to
sun. Look for the snowflakes on the quilt.

started this quilt in May. The circles made me think of moons. That
evening, the weatherman said that there was a full moon and the name
of the full moon that month is the Flower Moon. Right away, I said,
"That's my quilt."

I really liked this
quilt as well as the name, and as soon as the challenge quilt was
mentioned I knew this was the pattern I would use. The book was my
sister's and she was the one who introduced me to quilting. This
quilt is a tribute to her - and, of course, I am the younger
sister.
